Growing up in the Valand community of Gujarat, Kishan Dhanjibhai Jotangiya watched firsthand how 50,000+ talented hair professionals — the backbone of Gujarat's personal care industry — operated in isolation. Skilled, hardworking, and deeply rooted in tradition, they had no shared platform to find work, support each other through hardship, connect their families, or grow their businesses together.
That gap became his mission. Kishan founded Valand Business Community (VBC) with a single, bold idea: bring every Valand salon owner, barber, and beauty professional across Gujarat onto one unified digital platform — built specifically for them, completely free, in their language, and designed around their real needs.
What started as a community directory quickly grew into six interconnected platforms — a marketplace (VBC Mall), a matrimony service, a family tree, career board, welfare fund, and a dispute resolution tool (VBC Unity). Every platform was built with the same philosophy: technology should serve the community, not replace its values.
Give every Valand business owner access to a trusted marketplace where they can buy supplies, sell products, and find vetted distributors — cutting out middlemen and keeping money within the community.
Build a welfare system that ensures no Valand family faces hardship alone — from emergency aid applications to community-funded support programs accessible to every member.
Through the Family Tree platform, connect every Valand family across Gujarat — preserving generational history and helping members discover their roots and distant relatives.
Provide a safe, verified matrimony platform exclusively for Valand families — replacing expensive classified ads with a free, dignified space for families to find compatible matches within the community.
વાળંદ બનશે વેપારી — the Valand will become entrepreneurs. Our community has the skill, the numbers, and the values. All we needed was the platform to stand together.
Have a suggestion for VBC? A partnership idea? Or just want to say hello — Kishan personally reads every message from community members.
